Mother’s Helper

Just today a new-to-San-Diego-mom messaged me about finding “reliable and trustworthy” baby sitters.  If she lived in my part of town, I could recommend the neighborhood friend who regularly sits for us.  But since she’s not in the East County, I recommended UrbanSitter.  I was totally impressed by the Urban Sitters I met at one of the “meet and greet” events earlier this year and am thrilled that they are letting me GIVE AWAY A $100 CREDIT!

Just in time for the hectic start of the school year, Mom’s Guide to San Diego has found the ultimate resource that taps into an amazing network of babysitters and nannies trusted by your friends and fellow San Diego parents.

Just click over to UrbanSitter, a website where you can hire mom-recommended babysitters for all of your back-to-school needs. Search by date and time to view available sitters, or post a job to find an after school babysitter or book that regular date night sitter you’ve only dreamed about.

You’ll love that UrbanSitter shows babysitters reviewed by your friends and fellow San Diego parents from your mom’s group, child’s school, or sports team. Helpful filters help you narrow your picks by qualifications like background check, fast response time, and pay rate. The best part? You can book jobs online and skip the trip to the ATM by paying sitters by credit card.

UrbanSitter was started by three busy moms, who were looking for a faster, more personal way to find babysitters and nannies. Since parents most commonly look to friends for recommendations, UrbanSitter shows you babysitters rated & reviewed by parents you know. An online booking system makes scheduling jobs a breeze–simply search by date & time, select a sitter and book with just a click—it’s quick, easy, and efficient.

To inspire you to plan a night out on the town, Mom’s Guide to San Diego is giving away a $100 UrbanSitter gift certificate!  To enter to win, simply post a comment with one thing you’d do with your free time.  (I love tips for Mom’s Night Out andDate Nights) 🙂

Good Luck!

    I would
Love to walk downtown with my hubby and take a homeless couple to dinner with my husband. Their pick. Anywhere they wanted and just talk with them and treat them like people. It’s different I know but I’d love to and with little ones its not ideal
