Volleytots – Volleyball for Elementary Kids!

Looking for a unique activity to keep your kids active and entertained this summer? Volleyball is a great starter sport that teaches kids to work together with teammates, foster social skills and develop hand eye coordination. It is physically demanding but non-contact in nature and helps focus the bountiful energy little ones possess.

While not on the usual activity list of families with young children, volleyball can be adapted with the use of lowered nets and extra light volleyballs to make a perfect fit for the youngest of athletes.

The “Volleytots” program is an hour long weekly session that provides kids in K-4th grade with an introduction to the wonderful sport of volleyball in a fun and non-competitive environment. Experienced coaches teach basic fundamentals and incorporate games to keep kids highly engaged.

I know my 7 and 9 year olds would enjoy volleyball so much. In fact I’m secretly hoping my tall daughter becomes a beach volleyball star! Better get some lessons first though. 🙂
