It’s snowing in the San Diego mountains again this weekend!
It’s easy to get to our local mountains so your SoCal babies don’t have to grow up without experiencing the white stuff. Bring a sled or even a boogie board for the kind of fun my kids had just 30 minutes from our home!
Don’t feel like driving to the mountains? Don’t have snow chains? No problem! It’s also snowing in Encinitas this weekend.
From now through December 15th families can enjoy sledding at the San Diego Botanic Gardens Garden of Lights event. Plus there are horse-drawn wagon rides, marshmallow roasting, strolling carolers and visits with Santa.
Horizon Christian Fellowship presents their 2nd annual Snow Night on December 18th.
Visit their website and fill out the waiver to attend this free family event.
There are two snow play areas at this year’s Holiday Wonderland at Petco Park including tubing on the field!
This event was panned by San Diego families last year, but the organizers are promising it is bigger and better in 2015.
Free with your Legoland admission, enjoy snow land through January 3rd. Nightly fireworks take place December 26 – 30th.
Even when the flurry of holiday events have come to an end, you will still find manmade snow hills on January 9th & 10th at Poway’s annual Winter Festival!
Don’t let winter pass you by without enjoying some snow fun with the kiddos!
