My kids grew up going to FUNbelievable, Playtown, Kid Ventures and My Kids Clubhouse. At 10 & 11 they’re too old for indoor playgrounds, but that didn’t stop them from looking longingly into the windows of The Playground when we were at Grossmont Center last weekend.
Chelsea’s son, Oliver, on the other hand, is just the perfect age for San Diego’s newest play space. And as you can see, he had a ball!
The Playground opened this summer near Target and across from Pier 1 at Grossmont Center Mall. It’s large, bright, clean and has just about everything a little kid is looking for at playtime … inflatables, trampolines, cars, ball pits, foam pits and imaginative play. There is a padded area for toddlers, and families are allowed to bring in their own snacks and drinks.
Like most indoor play spaces, The Playground offers open playtime, birthday party rentals and memberships.
Their hours are:
Sun 11.00 am – 6.00 pm
Mon – Thu 10.00 am – 6.00 pm
Fri & Sat 10.00 am – 8.00 pm
Regular admission at The Playground is $14.95 for the first child and $11.95 for each sibling, but on Mondays and Wednesdays, admission is $10.95 per child for all day play. For a limited time, Mom’s Guide readers get this special offer —
Looking for a date night? The Playground also offers convenient drop off while you shop, dine or enjoy a movie on Friday and Saturday nights. For more information visit theplayground4kids.com or call 619.916.9963.
