October was pretty crazy with Halloween events and fall festivals just about every weekend. November will be a lot more chill, giving us the breather we need before December lunacy. Of course, we still want to get out of the house and do fun things with our littles. Here’s a list of low cost or free events to look forward to this month . . .
Free Crafts for Kids at Lakeshore Learning — Every Saturday between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. kids ages 3 and up are invited to Lakeshore Learning for FREE hands-on arts and crafts. Lakeshore is located in both San Marcos and San Diego / Mission Valley. For more information, click here.
Free & Low-Cost Kids’ Crafts at San Diego Michael’s Stores — “MAKEbreak” and “Kids’ Club” crafts are available all month long at your local Michael’s store. Visit michaels.com/classes and plug in your zip code to find the classes near you.
Friends of Tecolote Canyon presents Kids Art & Activities on the third Wednesday of each month. On November 15th kids will be crafting with pumpkins and leaves. For more information visit their Facebook event page.
Family Movie Nights at St. Mark’s includes lemonade, popcorn and a family-friendly movie. This month’s movie is Sing. Find out more here.
Nature Adventures — For just $10 per class, your preschooler can enjoy a lesson and nature craft at Mission Trails Regional Park. Every Tuesday, September through May, naturalist Linda Hawley leads these classes inside the center’s classroom. This month children will learn how the Kumeyaay found and harvested food. For more information visit their website here.
