Air Show with Kids!

Tell your daughters — this is the 100th year of women in the Marine Corps. What better way to celebrate than with a trip to the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar Air Show?

General admission to the Miramar Air Show is FREE. “Bring your own” seating is available on both ends of the flight line. You can see A LOT this way, but with a grandstand ticket, you will have better, unobstructed views plus a place to sit. Tickets are cheaper if purchased online, and options include grandstand, box seats and chalet seats.

If your family enjoys the Air & Space Museum or the USS Midway, you will love walking the flight line at the air show.

There are numerous opportunities to climb into planes and interact with military.

Just walking around is lots of fun, but of course the flight shows are what most people are here to see.

From acrobatics, to skydivers to the show-stopping Blue Angels, the air show is chock full of things to see and do.

If your child has sensitive ears, consider bringing ear plugs to help muffle the noise of the powerful jets. And this event involves a lot of walking so consider bringing a stroller. However, a clear bag policy is in place so avoid diaper bags. Visit this link for a list of prohibited items.

Gates open at 8 a.m. and events are scheduled all day long. The day ends with the Sean Tucker Solo Aerobatics and the Blue Angels. Find the full schedule of events online and head on out with the whole family!
