There’s always something fun going on in San Diego, especially if you’re doing it with children. Here are 5 fun events that we recommend for your family this week:
Tuesday, May 14th from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Pacific Beach Pier
Join fellow baby-wearing moms to connect with the San Diego Tula community, pick up some trash on our beautiful beaches, and see the debut of a brand new Tula print. Each attendee (1 per family) will receive a free “Hearts Ocean” Tula Blanket. Participants can enter the giveaway for the new print, and Baby Tula will have carriers on hand to help you hold your baby while you help with the cleanup.
Tuesday, May 14th @ 1 p.m. and Wednesday, May 15th @ 1:40 p.m.
Tourmaline Beach in La Jolla, Cabrillo National Monument Tide Pools, Cardiff State Beach Tide Pools, Dike Rock Tide Pools, Shell Beach Tide Pools and Swami’s State Beach Tide Pools,
We’ll see several daytime low tides this week, which means it’s a good time to go tide pooling! This free activity is a must if your little likes splashing in water and checking out sea life like shrimp, sea urchins, starfish and more. The best times to tide pool are up to one hour before and after the low tide. And remember, tide pools are slippery, even the easier to navigate ones, so be sure to wear water shoes or old tennies.
Thursday, May 16th from 11 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Kid Ventures in 4S Ranch
Kid Ventures is always an amazing place for kids to play. Throw in a 1/2 hour of award-winning positive and uplifting music by Kathryn the Grape, and it’s going to be a wonderful afternoon. You and your magical younger ones will enjoy dancing and singing along to an engaging mix of original and traditional songs. This event is complimentary with entrance to Kid Ventures Liberty Station.
Friday, May 17th from 7-8:30 p.m.
The Kroc Center, 6845 University Avenue, 92115
The Salvation Army Kroc Center has amazing pools for all levels of swimming ability, and this Friday night they are opening them to the public for FREE! Why not end the week getting wet with the whole family?!
Saturday, May 18th from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
San Diego Air & Space Museum, Balboa Park
Kids 17 & younger are FREE at San Diego Air and Space Museum’s Space Day. Space Day will feature demonstrations, giveaways, and hands-on activities with local and national space experts. Touch a meteorite, meet an astronaut, talk to space experts, build & fly a paper rocket, design your own space patch. The museum is also offering $3 coupon off of adult admission.
Have a super fun week!
