It’s common for dogs to be afraid of young children. Kids move unpredictably and make loud, sudden noises. They approach dogs from the front, from over the top and make direct eye contact ā behaviors that are considered rude in canine language. š If you have a dog and a child, The Mom’s Guide would like to help you mesh the two in the most positive way by offering our readers the chance to win a seat in an upcoming Pack Method Prep training event.
Pack Basics Junior is a training course that’s all about teaching kids the basics of canine behavior and body language as well as the fundamentals of training dogs. Perfect for kids 5-10-years-old, Students will work hands-on with their canine partners to achieve competency in a variety of obedience commands and tricks.
Participants in this 6-week program will bring their dogs to the training and dogs will learn to respect the commands and needs of your children. Human attendees will also learn proper etiquette when meeting new dogs that are not part of your pack.
If you would like to enter for a chance to win a spot for your child/dog duo in the next Pack Method Prep junior training course, comment here with the name of your canine family member(s). We will pick a winner on Friday, May 31st.
