Looking for a way to empower and encourage your daughter? Girls on the Run is a fun way to help our girls realize their full potential and develop self respect, be healthy, joyful and confident.
Girls on the Run is an after school program like no other! For more than twenty years this girl-focused nonprofit has offered girl-empowering programming across the U.S. and right here in San Diego. With a 10-week program, GOTR uses running and physical activities to serve as a platform for teaching life skills and promoting holistic health outcomes in girls.
Thinking about GOTR for you and your girl? Check out three great reasons why girl moms in San Diego choose Girls on the Run:
1.) It’s effective.
“When one of my daughters comes home with a friend issue, I am able to pull a skill out of the GOTR toolbox and walk them through solving the problem on their own.”
— Jennifer, GOTR Coach and mom at Valley Elementary, Poway
2.) It feels good to give back.
“For me, I have felt such an amazing sense of purpose influencing so many beautiful young souls. The coaches I’ve had the privilege to work with have touched my life in small and big ways.”
— Lisa, GOTR Coach and mom at Cadman Elementary, Bay Ho
3.) Girls on the Run is one of a kind.
“They get their life lessons and physical activity at once. I don’t know if that exists elsewhere. These girls take those lessons with them, I’ve seen it in my daughter and my team. I’m so lucky we have this and can give it to our girls.”
— Virginia, GOTR Coach and mom at Ada Harris Elementary, Cardiff
