One of the best ways to get your child to try new foods is to have him help you cook them! During Olivewood Garden’s 1.5 hour classes, children 5 – 12 years old will learn how to use appropriate cooking tools, taste new foods and create fun, seasonal recipes. During this class they will be making homemade pretzels, tomato soup and cheese dip with roasted cauliflower. Yum!

Families 0-18 months old are invited to foster an early love of reading, learning, and communicating through this interactive library experience. 3,000 lbs. of Rainbow Trout and the popular Lightning Trout, will be stocked with large fish up to 3-8 pound trophies! Three lakes will be stocked including a camper’s only lake, so make your camping reservations today! Prizes awarded for top 5 largest fish. Kroc Center Family Read & Play Days are monthly events for children ages five and under geared toward getting kids excited about reading. The Fleet invites the Autism Spectrum Community to enjoy our museum through this special opportunity. Adults and families with children with autism can enjoy the Fleet's exhibit galleries in a quieter setting, an hour before regular open hours to the general public and with access to a special cool-off space. Visitors are welcome to stay and enjoy the museum all day. Admission includes a special IMAX film screening at 10 a.m. with the house lights on and a lower soundtrack volume. Regular admission rates apply. The Fleet Science Center strives to be an inclusive place where people of all needs and abilities are welcome and accommodated with respect every day. We believe science is for everyone!

Join us on Harbor Drive on for the 40th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade. This is one of the largest celebrations of its kind in the United States in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The parade is filled with dazzling floats, phenomenal High School Bands, Drill Teams, College, Fraternities & Sororities, Churches, Peace and Youth organizations. This parade is coordinated by the Zeta Sigma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., the oldest African American fraternity in America, founded in 1906. The seven men who founded this organization at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York recognized the need for a strong bond of Brotherhood among African descendants in this country. Dr. King was also an Alpha. Come and join thousands of others and help continue the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
