* Astronomy NightAstronomy Night

Join the San Diego Astronomy Association on Saturday, September 14 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. for a free family-friendly evening of star gazing at the Mt. Helix Park Amphitheater. Parking and shuttles will be located at our lower lots at the corner of Vivera and Mt. Helix Drive, across from and adjacent to the San Miguel Fire Station. Shuttles will begin at 6 p.m. so come early and bring a picnic. Bring your own telescope or view the sky through one provided by members of the San Diego Astronomy Association. Volunteers from the SDAA will be on site to help you interpret the night sky. Click here for more information.

Children ages 5-10 are invited to join Mission Trails Regional Park Ranger, Heidi, for a nature story, followed by an arts-and-craft project related to the theme of the story. Meet at the Kumeyaay Lake Campgroundā€™s picnic shelter (across from the restrooms) on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 10 to 11 a.m. This program is FREE, but space is limited, so please be sure to RSVP by calling 619-668-3279.
